Soho Rep Teams up with the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, Inc. to Offer On-Demand Stream of Anne Gridley’s Acclaimed Watch Me Walk, for One Week, Beginning on Rare Disease Day (February 28) and extending through March 7.

Watch Me Walk, which concluded an extended world-premiere run in NYC on February 15, is a hilariously frank, profound play about Gridley’s experience of being diagnosed and living with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia.

On February 28, SPF also presents, in its SPF Talks series, Rare Disease Day Open Forum, a live, interactive, online event convening patients, families, researchers, and advocates for an open dialogue about Spastic Paraplegia, Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, and Primary Laterial Sclerosis, which together afflict fewer than 25,000 people in the U.S. (A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 1 in every 2,000 people.)

Together, the Watch me Walk streaming presentation and SPF’s Rare Disease Day Open Forum form a coordinated awareness moment—highlighting how storytelling, dialogue, and science together help humanize rare neurological diseases while advancing the pursuit of effective treatments and a cure.
